Greystone by GL Homes Update
By David A. Podgursky, MBA • Mar 17th, 2010 • Category: Featured Articles, GreystoneJust a quick update on Greystone by GL Homes located in Suburban West Boynton Beach Florida. Currently GL Homes is trying to help homeowners and first time homebuyers get into a new home and make the Federal Tax Credit Guidelines.
Tax Credits are discounts on your taxes that can be taken :
- as a check to use on anything you need – you can receive this check a few weeks after closing.
- as a way to reduce your taxes (if you close by April 15 you may be able to file the paperwork with this year’s taxes!)
- as a way to get a bigger tax refund
- For First Time Buyers there is an $8,000 federal tax credit available if you contract a home before April 30,2010 and close it before July 1, 2010. Anyone who has never owned a home or has not owned a home for 3 years qualifies as a First Time Buyer. *
- For Move Up Buyers there is a $6,500 federal tax credit. If you have been in your home for 5 years and sell it to move to a new home, you can qualify. April 30 and July 1 are the deadlines here as well.*
Currently there are 40 homes available at Greystone or in their last stages of construction that can be yours in time to take advantage of these tax credits.
A couple examples are:
- Ruby 1 (lot #371) 3br 2 2ba, 1-story, 2-car garage, (discounted to $261,900!)
- Hope 2 (lot #539 lakefront, blinds, ceiling fans, and more) 3br 2.5ba 1,769sq ft. (discounted to $268,900!)
